On the Sokha Beach Resort's private beach, the sand is so fine that it gets stuck between the lines on your skin.
The water is free of floating junk and the beach slopes gently into the turquoise blue ocean.
It's obvious why this was the first claimed of any of the beaches in Sihanoukville.
This beach is entirely controlled by the Sokha Beach resort.
But that doesn't mean all that much. You still share the area with anyone staying in the resort and I've never seen them keeping out wanderers.
I've seen them ask people to pay a fee, especially when the beach is crowded, but they are normally relaxed about other who might be staying at another resort (Or cheap Guesthouse), even when they come around with their multi-colored towels and easy, relaxed sway.
But, they might kick you off if you walk around drunk in your ripped Speedos. People would beg them to, anyway.
The beach is well maintained by the resort and the resort itself is an awesome sight, with such a nice pool, rooms, and such.
The food isn't much and the only nice things are the beach and the physical resort. Best place to stay to avoid the mega Casino catharsis in 2020.
If you have the money, Sok Ha Beach Resort is a great place to go for dinner and sit on the patio; the waves rolling in and the stars lighting the sky.
I'd call it pricey, but only because it's all about location. Very little substance beyond that for what you get but the location is so nice and the service is good.
We want to know your opinion on whether to nominate Sokha beach as the best or the worst.
