Vietnam News Headlines in Real-Time

Vietnam news was what we went looking for. We wanted the best, most frequently updated source of Viet Nam news and we wanted it to come from every reliable news agency reporting on news from Vietnam.

Otherwise I wouldn't be able to do a webpage that offers good, reliable (and updated) information. That's our rule. If it doesn't help anyone then don't write about it and keep it off this website ... if you care about it.

We looked at many options but each was flawed in some way. Most services actually wanted us to pay for a news feed that was junk to us. Google News now supplies this page with a constant stream of updated news coming out of Vietnam.

It's also free.

Vietnam is not happy about English speaking Vietnamese news outlets reporting on Vietnam at all. The average person in Vietnam gets a good dose of Government controlled news but little else and they would like to keep it that way.

It often makes for funny reading because the news from Vietnam differs so drastically from what foreign news agencies are reporting on the same subject.

Everything is always well and prosperous in the Vietnam news. I was an English Teacher in Vietnam. We often spoke of the news from Vietnam and it was clear that their only source of information was the printed local newspapers that are Government owned and controlled.

A Vietnamese man living in the United States rewrote the English ATM Machines so that they could provide service in Vietnamese. He visited Vietnam when I was there and it was big news.

According to the Vietnamese newspapers he had "Invented" the ATM Machine but according to other news he was just a guy who had translated the English words into Vietnamese words on the program that ATM machines use.

I walked into my Classroom one day and heard:

"Teacher! Did you know that the man who invented the ATM Machine is coming to Vietnam to visit?"

The students in my classroom were convinced that Vietnam was the only country with ATM Machines. They refused to beleive that I had used an ATM machine when I was a young Boy.

They called me 'a Liar'

Thousands of Vietnamese People greeted this guy at the airport when his plane landed.
